I'm Rian, a front end and mobile developer with 6+ years of experience building interfaces for web and mobile products — with enough backend and API knowledge to work across the stack when a project calls for it.

Background

Professional background

I learned full stack development at Arkademy — Node.js, React.js, and React Native — before starting my career as a mobile developer. My first professional work was shipping the Redtix ticketing app at AirAsia Redtix Sdn Bhd, followed by rebuilding Bakehouse Sdn Bhd's Swiggit App into Thyrst from the ground up. That early work set the standard I still hold: interfaces have to behave consistently across devices, OS versions, and real network conditions, not just look right in a mockup.

At Pitchplay, I moved into building a full mobile platform in React Native — content monetization features spanning audio, video, and subscriptions — working directly with the founders to turn product ideas into shipped functionality. I currently work as a Front End & Mobile Developer at PT. Envisi Digicom Webindo, a software house, delivering custom web and mobile applications for a range of clients from design handoff through to production and ongoing maintenance.

Front end and mobile are where I do my best work — component architecture, interface performance, and cross-platform consistency. Backend and API integration are secondary skills I keep sharp enough to work independently across the stack, rather than depending on someone else whenever a feature needs a new endpoint or a data model change.

Every project starts with the actual problem, not the interface — user flows, data requirements, and technical constraints get mapped out before a single component gets built.

Features ship in small, working increments and get checked against real usage along the way, instead of being built end-to-end in isolation and revealed only at the end.
